Greenfield gas projects hold significant potential to address Africa's growing energy demands and transform regional energy infrastructure. This paper examines the current landscape of these initiatives, highlighting their scale, goals, and alignment with continental strategies for sustainable development. It identifies key challenges, including regulatory complexities, financing constraints, and environmental considerations, while reflecting on critical lessons learned from past projects in terms of strategic planning, stakeholder collaboration, and technological innovation. The study also proposes future pathways for scaling up infrastructure through cross-border collaboration, public-private partnerships, and innovative financing mechanisms. Emphasis is placed on fostering a resilient and secure energy ecosystem, integrating sustainable practices, and addressing socio-political challenges. The paper concludes with actionable recommendations for policymakers, stakeholders, and investors to enhance project planning, execution, and long-term impact.
