Investigating the importance of critical thinking in enhancing student’s understanding at Sudanese Universities A case study of White Nile state Universities

The aim of this study is to recognize the nature, the benefits, and stand points of university instructors towards critical thinking and to develop primarily their critical thinking moods. University instructors interview was used as a tool to collect data. A semi-structured interview form was used to obtain the qualitative data. It was recorded interview to some of the Sudanese university instructors. the interview was analyzed using textual analysis technique. It was determined that when encountered an event or a problem that the participants took cognizance of subjects such as paying attention to the data available and unavailable, being attentive seeking evidence, developing empathy, making reasonable conclusions, and making judgments through creating criteria when making decisions. These results have indicated that the education provided contributes positively to critical thinking and to the critical thinking disposition.
